7 Foods for increasing height

Height has always been a matter of concern for every one of us. People of short height often suffer from low confidence when they face with their taller counterparts. There are a number of products available in the markets which claim to increase the height but they often don’t work as they promise.  

Height largely depends on genes, but consuming essential nutrients in your diet is necessary for the proper growth and development of your body. Although you can’t grow taller when you reach a certain age but there are foods that can help you maintain your joints, bones, and body strong and healthy.  

Here is what you need to include in your diet to increase your height.

1. Leafy green vegetables:

 Leafy green vegetables such as kale, cabbage, spinach are considered to be superstars when it comes to nutrition. With a high amount of iron, magnesium, calcium, and Vitamin C, they support growth and help maintain your height. They stimulate growth hormones in the body and as a result increase your height.

2. Nuts and seeds:

 Nuts like almonds, peanuts, and seeds like pumpkin seeds and flax seeds contain necessary vitamins and minerals that repair and build new tissues in your body. Almonds are a rich source of vitamin E, a fat-soluble vitamin that doubles as an antioxidant.  

3. Chicken:

 the highest source of protein and other essential nutrients, chicken is a must in your diet. It is a rich source of vitamin B12, a water soluble vitamin, and plays an important role when it comes to increasing your height and maintaining it.

4. Eggs:

 Eggs are considered to be the powerhouse of nutrition. Rich source of protein and in addition a wealth of other vitamins and minerals, they are essential for proper growth of your body. Also rich in Vitamin D which increases calcium absorption to maintain skeletal health.

5. Yogurt:

 Yogurt contains certain types of probiotics that are beneficial for improving the immune system and decreasing inflammation. Yogurt is rich in nutrients such as calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium which help in the bone metabolism of your body.  

6. Berries:

 Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries are all rich sources of essential vitamins and minerals required for the proper growth and development of your body. Berries are specifically rich in vitamin C which maintains cell growth and helps in tissue repair. Studies show that berries increase bone density and maintain bone health which could help you grow taller and maintain your height.

 Undoubtedly, milk is considered as the powerhouse of calcium. A key component of a well-balanced diet, milk should be a must in your daily diet plan. Milk is a rich source of protein. Consuming milk results in weight gain and muscle building which ultimately makes you look taller.
